You can bring the phone numbers you use in REsimpli with you to Revamp365, including your main line and any call-tracking numbers printed on mailers, signs and ads. The numbers keep working the whole way through; the switch happens on one day, and nothing changes for the people calling you.
Transfers are handled for you. There is no self-serve transfer screen in the app. Contact support to start one and we open the request and run it with you. This article covers what REsimpli customers need to know specifically. The general version for every provider is transfer an existing phone number to Revamp365.
Before You Do Anything Else
Do not cancel REsimpli, downgrade your plan, or delete any number in REsimpli until we confirm the number is live on Revamp365.
- If the number goes inactive partway through a carrier port, the request is rejected and has to start over.
- If the account is closed, the provider holding the number may release it back into the general pool. At that point it is gone for good and cannot be retrieved.
- Settle any outstanding REsimpli balance. An unpaid account is the most common reason a provider declines to release a number.
Plan on keeping REsimpli active for the length of the transfer. A few extra days of overlap is what protects the number.
Step 1: Send Us Your Number List
Send support every number you want to keep. REsimpli accounts often have several numbers, typically a main line plus one tracking number per marketing campaign, so check your number list in REsimpli and include:
- Each phone number, in full
- What it is used for (main line, direct mail tracking, bandit signs, PPC and so on), so we can set it up the same way on arrival
- Any number you do not want to bring over, so it is left alone
All of them can go on one request.
Step 2: We Check Which Route Your Numbers Take
There are two ways a number can move, and which one applies depends on the carrier that actually holds your number behind REsimpli, not on REsimpli itself. We look this up for every number before asking you for any paperwork, so you are never chasing documents that turn out not to be needed.
| If the number is held on | The route | Typical time | Paperwork from you |
|---|---|---|---|
| The same network Revamp365 uses | Fast transfer | Days | Almost none |
| A different carrier | Full port | Up to 4 weeks | A short document package |
Different numbers on the same account can take different routes. We tell you which applies to each one.
Step 3: What to Ask REsimpli For
Contact REsimpli support and tell them you are moving your numbers to another provider and need them released. What you ask for depends on the route from Step 2.
Fast Transfer
The number stays on the same network (Twilio), so there is no Letter of Authorization, no PIN, no service address, no bill and no port fee. Both sides just have to approve the move. Ask REsimpli for:
- The Account SID holding your numbers. It starts with
ACfollowed by a long string of letters and numbers. - Their written approval of the transfer. The network will not move a number between two companies without approval from both sides. REsimpli can write in to the network's support directly, or reply approving it on the request we open with them copied in.
The slowest part of this route is almost always waiting on the approval, so it is worth following up with REsimpli until it is sent.
Full Port
A carrier port is checked field by field against the losing carrier's records, and a single mismatch gets it rejected. Because REsimpli manages the carrier account for you, ask REsimpli for the details exactly as the carrier has them on file:
- Account holder name on the carrier account, including the business name if that is what is on file.
- Service address on file. It must be a street address; PO Boxes are rejected.
- Account number with the carrier.
- Port-out PIN or passcode for the numbers, if one is required.
- A Customer Service Record (CSR), the carrier's own record of items 1 through 4. This is the best way to avoid a rejection. If a CSR is not available, send your most recent REsimpli invoice showing the numbers, dated within the last 30 days.
We then send you a Letter of Authorization to sign. That is the last thing needed from you. The request goes to the carrier network, the losing carrier approves it and sets a cutover date, and the numbers switch over on that date. There is a one-time port fee on this route; support confirms the current amount when the request is opened.
Texting Switches On After Calling
This applies to both routes. Calling works as soon as a number lands on Revamp365. Texting takes a little longer.
The A2P 10DLC registration that lets a number send business texts in the US does not carry over from REsimpli. That is true even on the fast route. It has to be rebuilt under your Revamp365 registration. We start it as soon as your transfer is underway, but expect a gap of roughly a day or two after the numbers arrive before outbound texting turns on. Attaching a number to a campaign too early can make the registration fail, which is why the wait exists.
If you have not registered for texting on Revamp365 yet, start now so it is ready when your numbers land. See activate texting and the Trust Center checklist and A2P 10DLC registration.
After the Numbers Arrive
We configure each number once it lands. That covers inbound calls, inbound texts, and linking it to AI Voice so it can run voice agents. We tell you when each number is live, and it appears under AI Voice & Chat → Phone Numbers.
Then test each one:
- Call the number from your cell and confirm it rings through.
- Text the number and confirm the message appears in your conversations.
- Once texting is enabled, send an outbound text to your own cell.
Once every number passes, it is safe to cancel REsimpli. If any test fails, contact support before you cancel.
Common Reasons a Transfer Stalls
| What happened | What to do |
|---|---|
| REsimpli has not sent its approval (fast route) | Follow up with REsimpli support directly. This is the most common delay. |
| Outstanding balance on the REsimpli account | Settle it. Providers decline to release numbers from unpaid accounts. |
| Details do not match the carrier's records (port route) | Ask REsimpli for a CSR and resubmit with its exact values. |
| REsimpli account was cancelled or a number was deleted | Ask REsimpli to reinstate it immediately, then tell support. |
| Calling works, texting does not | Expected for a day or two. Beyond that, contact support. |
